Concern

Dark areas on the body.

Underarms, inner thighs, bikini line, elbows, knees, the back of the neck. Why these areas darken, why scrubbing makes it worse, and a routine built for body skin.

Recognition

Does this sound like your skin?

It is darker where skin rubs

Underarms, inner thighs, bikini line, under the bra strap.

Shaving or waxing made it worse

Each session leaves the area a little darker.

Elbows, knees, neck

Darker and sometimes thicker than the skin around them.

You avoid certain clothes

Sleeveless tops, shorts, swimwear.

Very common, and rarely talked about. If three of these are true, the rest of this page is written for you.

Mechanism

What is happening in the skin

Body hyperpigmentation is usually the result of repetition. Friction, hair removal and hormonal changes keep the skin in a state of low grade irritation, and melanocytes answer with a little more pigment each time. Folds, warmth and moisture make these areas more reactive, which is why they need a gentler approach than the face.

1 · Friction

Rubbing, shaving and tight clothing irritate the skin again and again.

2 · Low grade inflammation

Repeated irritation keeps a quiet alarm running in the area.

3 · Pigment build up

Melanocytes answer with extra pigment, layer after layer.

Why nothing held

Why the usual fixes do not last

Scrubbing and exfoliating gloves

Friction is one of the causes. More of it adds to the problem.

Brightening body lotions

Built for large areas at low strength. Rarely enough for a persistent patch.

Laser on deeper skin tones

Can trigger new pigmentation on deeper skin if the area is not prepared and protected.

Changing nothing else

If the friction continues, so does the darkening.

Where to start: Cyspera Sensitive

CYSPERA SENSITIVE™

Correction · gentle, for body skin

CYSPERA SENSITIVE™

€180,00

Body folds and intimate areas react more than the face. Sensitive brings the cysteamine correction step in a formula built for tolerance first.

Short contact, then rinsed, so the area gets the correction without carrying an active all day.

The honest limit: if the friction continues, the darkening will too. Looser clothing and gentler hair removal are part of the routine.

Questions

What people ask before starting

Can I use it on intimate areas?

On the outer skin of the bikini line and groin, yes, never on mucous membranes. Start with a short contact time and always rinse.

Can I use it after shaving or waxing?

Wait until the skin has fully calmed, usually a day or two, then apply. Never on freshly shaved or broken skin.

How long before I see a change?

Body skin renews more slowly than the face. Expect several weeks before the tone starts to even, and photograph the area in the same light to judge it.

Is it safe on deeper skin tones?

Cyspera is formulated for all skin tones. Deeper skin is more prone to marks left by irritation, so build the contact time slowly and keep other actives out of the same evening.

What happens if I stop?

If you stop when it looks better, pigmentation often returns, because the process behind it is still switched on. After the correction phase, the routine moves to maintenance, with daily sun protection. That step is what keeps the result.

Can I use it while pregnant?

Speak to a professional before starting any active correction while pregnant or breastfeeding. Find a provider near you.
